Prachanda reveals PM Oli’s plan of confining Nepal to 4 districts

Possibility of party unity if the next faction realizes mistakes

KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal  alias Prachanda revealed that Prime Minister KP Oli wanted to confine NCP’s senior leader Madhav Nepal to four districts.

Addressing a gathering of the teachers’ association close to NCP Prachanda-Nepal faction, NCP Chairman Prachanda claimed that PM Oli wanted to confine leader Nepal to four districts to rule the roost in the party and the government.

“PM Oli had a plan to confine Mahdav Nepal’s influence to merely four districts and capture the party and the government alone,” Prachanda said in the gathering,” I did not like the idea as I felt foul in it and helped in enhancing his role in 24 districts.”

He criticized the PM for marginalizing others and turning an autocrat.

However, former Prime Minister Prachanda claimed that the possibility of getting united in the party could not be ruled out yet, provided PM Oli faction makes the correction of the course they deviated from.
