TIKAPUR: The agriculture knowledge centre Kailali has distributed power tillers to the farmers from Bhajani Municipality-2 and Joshipur Rural Municipailty-3 in the district.
The agricultural tools help farmers save time and cost in the cultivation of land. The wheat block of Bhajani and Manipur agricultural group of Joshipur are provided the tillers. The wheat block has been provided six tillers, said agriculture expansion officer at Kailali, Ram Narayan Chaudhary.
It was provided under the agriculture mechanization scheme of Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperation at Sudurpaschim Province. “It is very helpful technology for farmers to save time and cost in wheat production,” he added.
The wheat block has cultivated wheat in 100 hectares of land. The power tillers were provided in 50 percent grant. Similarly, Manikapur agricultural group got two tillers.
The farmers in Kailai would be provided additional agricultural tools, technical knowledge and grants for crops after completion of Rani-Jamara-Kulariya Irrigation Project.
