No improvement in Joshi’s health condition: Norvic Hospital

KATHMANDU: The health condition of former industry minister and Nepali Congress leader Nabindra Raj Joshi has not improved, said Norvic Hospital.

Talking to journalists, Dr Rajiv Jha said Joshi is being treated on ventilator and the CT scanning report showed there was a blood clot and an accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid in his brain. The blood clot was removed and that the fluid was drained through an external ventricular drain (EVD), said Jha.

“This is a critical case and 60 to 70 of patients with such condition will not recover,” said Jha.

A surgery was carried out on Joshi after he suffered from brain hemorrhage at the hospital yesterday.

Joshi was taken to Norvic Hospital on Friday morning after he suffered from brain hemorrhage on Thursday night.
