NCP Vice Chair Gautam announcing party unity campaign



KATHMANDU: Vice Chairman of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Bamdev Gautam is announcing a party unity national campaign on Wednesday.

Leader Gautam had been keeping mum at a time when Oli and Prachanda-Nepal factions have been staging separate programs trading in blames against each other.

Gautam is announcing the party unity campaign to exert pressure on the party leadership for the sake the party unification.

Issuing a press note, Bishwamani Subedi, the press aide of Gautam, said the party unity national campaign is being announced saying a large number of NCP leaders and cadres are still in favor of the party unification.

The ruling NCP has been politically divided after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli dissolved the parliament on December 20.

Gautam has intensified his party unity campaign after the Election Commission, Nepal did not grant recognition to the NCP split.
