KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has praised Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ at the inaugural ceremony of the Maoist Center’s 8th General Convention Sunday.
PM Deuba attributed historical political gains such as Nepal becoming a republic, a federal nation and one with a proportional and inclusive constitution to efforts of Maoist Center Chair Prachanda.
The prime minister said, “We decided to elect a Constituent Assembly (CA) at Prachanda’s zeal and initiative. The CA later promulgated a constitution with features of republicanism, federalism and proportional inclusion.”
PM Deuba said Prachanda’s contribution was immense in the process of CA election and drafting the constitution.
He urged all and sundry to acknowledge Prachanda’s prominent role in nation building.
