Dr. Govinda KC warns of hunger strike seeking CJ Rana’s ouster



KATHMANDU: Medical reformist Dr Govinda KC has demanded that Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana be removed from his post through impeachment.

Issuing a statement on Sunday, Dr KC has asked the political parties to oust Chief Justice Rana through impeachment.

He has alleged CJ Rana for trading justice, institutionalizing bribery and corruption in the judiciary and seeking a share in the state’s executive body.

In his statement, he has also alleged CJ Rana for rejecting the principle of the separation of power and demanded investigation into Rana’s property as well as his relatives’ property and take action.

Dr KC, in his seven-point demand, has raised the issue of ensuring MBBS course at Geta Medical College from the next academic session and the Rapti Institute of Health Sciences.

He has also demanded free health services to people in all government hospitals warning that he would start a “Satyagraha” if his demands were not met.
