Agitating Nepal Bar submits memo to PM Deuba

Seeks impeachment against CJ Rana



KATHMANDU: Nepal Bar Association has submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba demanding resignation of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana.

Agitating Nepal Bar, which has been upping the ante against Chief Justice Rana since October 31, has submitted the memo to Prime Minister Deuba urging the government to impeach Rana.

Earlier, Nepal Bar had submitted a memorandum to UML Parliamentary Party Deputy leader Subas Nemwang, CPN (Maoist Center) chief whip Dev Gurung and the other political parties represented in the parliament.

Nepal Bar has been staging demonstrations demanding Rana’s resignation accusing the latter of seeking share in the ministerial portfolios among other issues.
