Health checkups mandatory to join UML’s closed session

CHITWAN: The CPN-UML has released a mandatory provision of health checkups to the representatives of 10th General convention for their participation in the closed session beginning Saturday morning.

The representatives should be allowed to enter into the hall of the closed session only after examining their flu and fever.  The party has mobilized health workers including doctors in Hotel Seven Star where the party is convening its closed-door session, leader Leeladhar Poudel said.

He said that antigen kits for the COVID-19 test and other lab services would be installed near the hall of the closed session.

Poudel stated that health workers and doctors would visit the representatives of the general convention in their residence (hotels) if they are taken ill even in the nighttime. “Rescue teams along with medical specialists would be kept on standby round the clock at the closed session venue in Sauraha,” Poudel shared.

The medical persons deployed there include specialist doctors, nurses, para-medics and pharmacists.
