14th meeting of the NIBCGSI in Bengaluru on Thursday



KATHMANDU: The 14th meeting of the Nepal-India Bilateral Consultative Group on Security Issues (NIBCGSI) is being held in Bengaluru, India from October 28 to 29.

A delegation led by the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Nepal Army, is scheduled to leave for the meeting Wednesday, according to NA Public Relations and Information Directorate.

The NIBSGSI was formed in 2003 with the aim of regularly discussing security issues between Nepal and India. There have been 13 meetings between 2003 to 2018 since the formation of the group.

The 14th meeting was scheduled to be held in New Delhi, India in 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
