KATHMANDU: Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana has scheduled cases for hearing even today.

As many as 15 Justices have been assigned to hear eight writ petitions.

However, hearing on the cases have been uncertain since the Justices are upping the ante against  Chief Justice Rana, calling for his resignation.

The writ petitions scheduled for hearing on Monday had been boycotted by Justices.

All the Supreme Court Justices have concluded that Rana should step down on moral ground.

Rana has been dragged into controversy after he allegedly demanded share in ministerial portfolios and constitutional bodies.

He has not assigned himself to hearing any cases after the Dashain festival for the fear of being booed.
