Panchthar floods: Death toll climbs to 31 as one more missing found dead



PANCHTHAR: A dead body of a person who had gone missing in the floods has been found.

The body of Prem Ale Magar of Phidim municipality-6, Siwa, who had been washed away along with a motorcycle while crossing the Maluwa rivulet, was found on Monday.

His niece Sampada Ale Magar, who had been washed away, was found in the rivulet three days ago, said District Police Office, Panchthar.

With this, the death toll from and the floods and landslides induced by post-monsoon mayhem has reached 31 in the district.

Three people are still missing in the natural disaster. All of them are from Miklajung rural municipality.
