Second dose of Astra Zeneca being administered in 8 municipalities of Kathmandu today



KATHMANDU: The second dose of Astra Zeneca is being administered in eight municipalities of Kathmandu district today.

Issuing a notice on Monday, the District Health Office, Kathmandu informed that the second of Astra Zeneca is being administered to the people above 18 years who have already the first doze.

The COVID-19 vaccines are being administered in Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Kirtipur, Chandrargiri, Nagarjun, Kageshwari, Manohara, Tarkeshwor, Tokha and Gokaneshwor municipality, according to the notice.

In case of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, the vaccines will be administered from Chhauni-based Birendra Military Hospital, Bir Hospital, Nepal Police Hospital, Prasuti Griha and Civil Service Hospital.

The vaccination campaign will run for two days at these hospitals while at the local level vaccination centers, it will run for three days, according to the health office.

Meanwhile, the health office has requested those receiving vaccines have to carry vaccination cards of the first dose or a print of electronic registration along with them.
