COVID-19 vaccine to all Nepalis by mid-May: State Minister Shrestha



CHITWAN: Minister of State for Health and Population Umesh Shrestha has said that all Nepalis will get vaccinated by mid-May.

Addressing a program organized to observe 22nd anniversary of BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital at Bharatpur, Chitwan, State Minister Shrestha remarked that there will be 100 percent vaccination against COVID-19 to all Nepalis by May.

“33 percent of Nepalis will be vaccinated by next month and there will be 100 percent vaccination by mid-May,” Minister Shrestha said, adding, “The government has ensured the amount of 32.3 million vaccines required to all Nepalis.”

He also said that the vaccine against COVID-19 will be available for children after the tenth anniversary.

According to Minister Shrestha, out of 10 million doses of vaccine for children, the process of bringing 6 million doses of Pfizer vaccine has reached the final stage.
