UML Chair Oli says party possesses many agendas for canvassing votes

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Oli has claimed that there are many agendas with the party to go amongst the people.

Addressing a meeting of the party’s Central Committee (CC) Sunday, Oli said the UML should not hesitate to go among the people as it had done a good job during its tenure in power.

Oli said, “It is not the case in which we have to wonder how can we ask the people to vote. We have done plenty of good job. Those who have only done bad things are also saying that they will go to the polls. So, why should we be afraid?”

As the leaders who left Madhav Nepal expressed dissatisfaction over the non-implementation of the 10-point unity agreement, Oli directed them to work for the formation of a dynamic and disciplined party.

Ten members of the Standing Committee (SC) and the CC protested against the non-implementation of the 10-point agreement reached on July 11 to restore the organizational structure of the CPN-UML.

Oli said, “UML needs to form a disciplined, dignified, dynamic, system-based party. The statute has made provision for that. We have to move forward on that basis.”

Chairman Oli claimed that UML was the party that planned and gave vision for development in Nepal.
