KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepali congress (NC) has organized local level conventions in 54 districts by Sunday morning.
According to Gopal Krishna Ghimire, member of NC’s Election Commission, the party’s local level conventions that started on Saturday have been completed in 54 districts of the country.
He said that the election process had started in 64 districts on Saturday.
“The local level conventions will be continued in remaining 10 districts,” Ghimire said, “All municipal elections will be over by October 2.”
He also informed that the election officer has already been assigned to conduct the election in the Himalayan district of Dolpa out of the remaining 13 districts.
