Gurung elected Chairman of NC Ilam Municipality



ILAM: Tirtha Gurung has been elected as the Ilam Municipal Chairman of the Nepali Congress. Gurung has been elected as the Chairman defeating four other contestants.

He has received 128 votes. Amritlal Shrestha got 80 votes, Leela Thapa got 75 votes, Nirmal Raut got 73 votes and Som Suseli got 19 votes.

Meanwhile, Birendra Karki and Nirajan Bhattarai won the post of Secretary with 167 and 160 votes respectively.

Prajwal Ghimire got 207 votes and Birendra Rai got 177 votes.
