Govt to provide Rs 1 million assistance to family of Jay Singh Dhami



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 1 million to the family of Jay Singh Dhami, 33, of Byas rural municipality-2 in Darchula district, who went missing in the Mahakali river after Indian Seema Surakshya Bal (SSB) cut the tuin (ropeway) that he was using to cross the river on July 30.

Government Spokesperson and Minister of Law and Parliamentary Affairs Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said the cabinet meeting held on Thursday decided to provide financial assistance of Rs. 1 million to the family of Dhami.

Dhami has been missing since July 30 and security agencies are searching for him.
