Nepal sees 2,433 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 2,433 new cases of coronavirus while 1,929 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 2,052 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 381 from antigen method. There had been 14,374 tests carried out in past 24 hours out of which 9,702 were RT-PCR tests and 4,672 were antigen.

Likewise, there are 561 cases in Kathmandu, 66 in Bhaktapur and 106 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the Valley to 733.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 26 infected patients died of the infection in the past 24 hours. With the recent death toll, total deaths caused due to COVID-19 reached 10,638 in the country.
