Cricketer Lamichhane to play Big Bash from Hurricanes



KATHMANDU: Nepali youth cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane will take part in the upcoming Big Bash League representing Hobart Hurricanes.

Australian Franchise T-20 League Team Hobart has informed that leg spinner Lamichhane renewed a contract to play for the new season on Thursday.

Lamichhane who signed the contract with Hobart as the first foreign player for the 11th edition of the league had taken eight wickets in eight previous matches.

Earlier prior to Hobart, Lamichhane had taken 26 wickets in 21 matches for Melbourne Stars.

The 11th edition of Big Bash is scheduled to begin from December 22 to January 28. Hobart will play its first match with Sydney Sixers on December 8.
