U.S. Ambassador Berry pays courtesy call on Home Minister Khand



KATHMANDU: U.S. Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry paid a courtesy call on Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand at the latter’s office in Singha Durbar Monday.

Ambassador Berry and Home Minister Khand discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and concerns during the meeting. On the occasion, Ambassador Berry congratulated Minister Khand and expressed confidence that Nepal-U.S. relations would strengthen during his term.

Ambassador Berry assured Minister Khand that the U.S. had prioritized additional vaccine assistance to Nepal realizing the need here. Likewise, Minister Khand conveyed that the government’s main priority was to protect the people from the pandemic through vaccination and strengthening the democratic process.

Minister Khand also expressed gratitude for the continued U.S. assistance in Nepal’s fight against the coronavirus.
