KATHMANDU: The Rapti Academy of Health Sciences (RAHS) has produced medical oxygen.

RAHS has been producing 100 oxygen cylinders a day through its plant set up at the cost of Rs 25 million provided by the government during COVID-19, said RAHS Vice-Chancellor Dr Sangita Bhandari.

Oxygen is widely used to treat COVID-19 patients.

The Academy has operated a 20-bed intensive care unit, a 50-bed high dependency unit, and a 30-bed isolation facility in view of the possible third wave of the infection, she said.
