NC Lalitpur District Committee Secy Ghimire passes away



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) Lalitpur District Working Committee Secretary Bhimsen Ghimire has passed away from COVID-19.

Ghimire, 47, breathed his last in the course of treatment at Patan Hospital this morning.

He had also contested the elections for the post of chairman of Mahankal rural municipality in Lalitpur in 2073 BS.

Ghimire, who had begun his political careers from Nepal Student Union (NSU), had made a significant contribution in the organization building and democratic movements.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is also the President of the NC, has condoled Ghimire’s demise and stated that his passing has created an irreparable damage to the NC.
