Trash and garbage along the river in Pashupati and Shankhamul areas were collected and managed today as part of the 424th week of the Mega Campaign today.

Member of the Board of Directors of the High-Powered Bagmati Civilization Integrated Development Committee, Dr Mala Kharel led the cleaning program at Pashupati area while Campaigner Dr Laxmi Poudel led the cleanup program at Shankhamul area.

Campaigners and volunteers managed the waste and trash on the riverbank in these areas.

Similarly, waste in the area south of the Anandapul at Tokha Municipality-9 has been managed in the 357th week today of the Bishnumati Cleanup Campaign. Tree saplings have also been planted in the area.

The campaign of cleaning one of the most important and revered rivers in the Kathmandu Valley was launched on 19 May 2013.
