Two more succumb to coronavirus in Saptari

KATHMANDU: Two more coronavirus-infected persons have died in Saptari district.

A man and a woman, undergoing treatment at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital, Rajbiraj, died on Tuesday night.

According to the hospital’s information officer Suryakant Jha, a 55-year-old woman of Rupani Rural municipality ward no. 2 and a 75-year-old man of Surunga Municipality-9 died while undergoing treatment in HDU bed.

A coronavirus-infected woman had been undergoing treatment at the hospital since May 20 and while the man was in the hospital since May 22.

Meanwhile, with this, the death toll in Saptari has reached 58 in the second wave of corona in the district, said Duniya Lal Yadav, acting head of the district health office.
