Vice President for intensification of vaccination drive

KATHMANDU: Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has drawn the government’s attention to intensify the campaign of anti-COVID vaccination as the country reels under the coronavirus pandemic.

Giving a message of best wishes on the occasion of the 2565th birth anniversary and the festivals as Ubhauli and Chandipurnima today, Vice President Pun stressed that the anti-Covid drive is a must.

Similarly, effective treatment of the infected ones is imperative, he added.

The struggle against the pandemic is not won merely with the efforts of government, doctors, health workers, and security persons, so full cooperation from people’s sides is essential, the Vice President said, urging everyone to abide by the health protocols to stay safe at this critical hour.

He even said the teaching of Lord Gautam Buddha is still relevant to fight the second wave of the Covid-19 crisis. He wished that the entire human community built resilience to cope up with the situation.
