Gandaki province reports 101 fresh COVID-19 cases, four deaths in last 24 hours



POKHARA: Gandaki province has witnessed 101 cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours.

According to the Provincial Health Directorate, out of the swabs tested in Tuberculosis Treatment Center, Life Care Diagnostic Pvt. Ltd., and Madhyabindu Hospital, 101 tested COVID-19 positive on Monday.

Kaski district saw 69 fresh cases of coronavirus on Monday.

Likewise, there were 12 new cases in Nawalparasi East saw, five each in Parbat, Tanahu, and Myagdi, three in Syangja, and two in Lamjung district on Monday.

With this, the number of coronavirus cases in the province has reached 17,838.

Likewise, as many as four persons have died from COVID-19 in  Gandaki province on Monday The deceased have been identified from Kaski, Myagdi, and Syangja.

With this,  the death toll from coronavirus in Gandaki has reached 215.

According to the provincial health directorate, the deceased has been identified as a 58-year-old man from Syangja Waling Municipality. He died on Monday while undergoing treatment at Lumbini Medical College, Palpa.

Similarly, a 78-year-old man from Raghuganga village of Myagdi died due to coronavirus. He died at Pokhara Mediplus Hospital on Monday morning.

He was diagnosed with corona infection on April 25.

Likewise,  a 91-year-old man of Pokhara-25 and a 55-year-old woman of Pokhara-1 succumbed to coronavirus.
