Ousting PM Oli only way out from the turmoil: Upendra Yadav

BUTWAL: Chairman of the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Upendra Yadav has said that ousting Prime Minister KP Oli can only offer the way out for the ongoing political impasse.

Speaking at a press meet organized by Press Forum Nepal in Butwal Friday, Yadav claimed the Oli-led government was trying its best to make the parliament non-functional.

“The Oli-led government is trying to make the parliament useless by not giving it any business for discussion,” former Deputy Prime Minister Yadav said, adding, “The government’s exit is necessary to rejuvenate the parliament.”

He alleged that PM Oli wants to show that a democratic republic, federalism and inclusiveness have completely failed.

Chairman Yadav accused the government of failing to meet people’s aspiration during three years in office.

He expressed dissatisfaction at Oli’s attempts to release the party’s political prisoners a bargain point for power-sharing in the government and labelled it as unnatural.

Yadav expressed skepticism at the sincerity of PM Oli and reiterated in the need to oust him at any cost.

Earlier, speaking at a program in Janakpurdham, JSP’s another Chairman Mahantha Thakur had said that PM Oli is positive on the party’s Madhesh agenda, including the release of the political prisoners.
