NC senior leader Poudel insists on unity among democratic forces



MORANG: Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Ramchandra Poudel has insisted on the need for unity among democratic forces to what he said saving the parliamentary democracy.

Parliamentary democracy was being attacked from every quarter and it was high time for unity among democratic parties to safeguard it.

Talking to media persons in brief at Biratnagar Airport today, the leader said the protection of the constitution based on federal democracy and came following people’s sacrifices was the major task of the hour.

Stating that conspiracies were being hatched to destroy the constitution and democracy, he urged all parties to take responsibility for aborting such attempts.

As he said, discussions and homework are underway to find an alternative to the incumbent government through mutual understandings among all parties.

He made it clear that the party would not come up with a no-confidence motion against the government as it was not the current priority of the party.
