Election Commission seeks clarification from RPP’s Surendra Bhandari over remarks against minorities



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has sought a clarification from Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) candidate Dr Surendra Bhandari for making remarks deemed offensive toward gender and minority groups.

According to the Commission, Bhandari has been asked to submit a written explanation within three days. The clarification was sought after complaints were filed alleging that his public statements violated the election code of conduct.

Dr Bhandari is a candidate from Kathmandu constituency number 4.
