Home Ministry instructs security bodies to be vigilant against possible clashes

KATHMANDU: Keeping in view the possible clashes, the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a circular to the three security agencies to ensure that the rallies for and against the reinstatement of the House of Representatives do not encounter at any cost.

It has also instructed the security agencies to create a conducive environment for the same.

The Ministry has issued separate circulars to the Nepal Police, the Armed Police Force and the National Investigation Department to make arrangements to make sure that the rallies of opposing factions do not meet.

The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction has been holding victory rallies in various places after the Supreme Court’s decision to reinstate the House of Representatives.

However, no protest rallies have been held so far.
