NC to stage nationwide demonstration against HoR dissolution on Feb 12

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has announced additional protest programs against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).

A meeting of the Central Working Committee of the party held at the party’s central office in Sanepa on Tuesday decided to hold demonstrations in all districts on February 12.

It has been stated that the program of the three districts of Kathmandu Valley will be held in an integrated manner.

The sister organizations of the party will hold a protest program on February 1 and the well-wishers on February 6.

Spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma stated that the central committee meeting approved the proposal prepared by the meeting of office-bearers held earlier today.

Meanwhile, the NC condemned the use of force by the government against the peaceful protests organized by the civil society in the federal capital yesterday. It also wished a speedy recovery to the injured ones.

The NC viewed that the recent public expression of the Prime Minister did not suit his position. It also congratulated ten Nepali climbers including Nirmal Purja who scaled Mount K2, the second-highest peak in the world.
