Food items worth over Rs 30 million recovered in Jhapa



JHAPA: Jhapa Police has recovered the food items worth more than Rs 30 million from Damak 6 on Tuesday.

According to District Police Office Jhapa, the goods which have not got the customs clearance have been stored in Jhapa by taking them from Kathmandu.

SP Sanu Ram Bhattarai revealed that the goods which were recovered from a rented house in Jhapa have been taken there by the Global Oriance Pvt. Ltd, a company registered in Ktm-16, Balaju.

The bills of 22 items recovered by the police have not been found yet.

The police have initiated an investigation by taking Jitendra Sah, the proprietor into custody. Sah hails from Damak 6.

Police are preparing to hand over the goods and Sah to Revenue Investigation Department Itahari.
