Nepal sees 167 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley sees 98 cases in 24 hours



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 167 new cases of coronavirus while 226 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 157 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 10 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are  68 cases in Kathmandu, 4 in Bhaktapur and 26 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the valley to 98 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there was one coronavirus-related death in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll has reached 11,583 in the country.

There are 4978 active cases of coronavirus in Nepal as of Saturday.
