UML Chair Oli seeks govt’s clear stance on MCC

Says UML would continue obstructing parliament until coming elections

KATHMANDU: CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that the government should make its stance clear on the United States-backed Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact.

Talking to media persons at Biratnagar Airport Saturday, Oli said, “MCC is not a matter of individual concern. What is the government’s view on it? Only after knowing the government’s stance, we will put forth our say.”

Oli, who is also a former prime minister, said that there was no alternative but to hold elections. He said that everything would be obvious after the upcoming elections.

Meanwhile, he said that the UML would continue to obstruct parliament until the elections.
