First meeting of NC’s newly elected CWC underway



KATHMANDU: The first meeting of the newly elected Central Working Committee (CWC) of the Nepali Congress (NC) has started at the party office in Sanepa on Saturday afternoon.

Newly elected office bearers and central members finalized from the recently held 14th general convention of the NC are taking part in the meeting. Voting was held as part of the general convention to elect 134-member CWC, including 13 office bearers.

Re-elected party President Sher Bahadur Deuba is to nominate one of the newly elected central members as treasurer in the meeting today. Similarly, NC President is also to nominate 33 additional central members.

Earlier today, the NC Election Committee also distributed certificates to the newly elected office bearers and central members of the party.
