2,175 representatives to participate in UML’s 10th general convention

KATHMANDU: A total of 2,175 representatives would participate in the 10th national general convention of the CPN (UML).

Deputy Chief of the CPN (UML) Publicity Department, Surya Thapa, said that such number of elected and nominated representatives would participate in the general convention.

Earlier on November 13, 1,199 representatives were elected across the nation for the general convention. A standing committee meeting of the party held on November 23 had nominated five per cent representatives of the total elected representatives.

Similarly, 130 observers would participate in the general convention.

The 10th national general convention of the CPN (UML) is taking place in Chitwan from Friday. The general convention would elect a 225-member central committee including 15 office-bearers and 15 members each in Accounts and Discipline Commissions.

The general convention will take place till November 28.
