Truck-hit kills daughter, injures mother



DHADING: A minor girl has died being hit by a cargo truck at Gajuri rural municipality-2, Chalise in Dhading district along the Prithvi Highway.

The deceased has been identified as 11-year-old Kripa Aryal of Siddhalek rural municipality-1, Nalang.

Pedestrian Kripa was struck to death by the truck, Na 6 Kha 1497, while it heading to Kathmandu from Birgunj, according to DSP Bhabesh Rimal of Area Police Office, Gajuri.

Mithu Aryal, the mother of the deceased, who sustained injuries, has been referred National Trauma Center, Kathmandu following a preliminary treatment at Gajuri-based health post.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking the truck and its driver under control.
