NC leader Singh announces candidature for the post of party President



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Prakash Man Singh has announced his candidature for the post of party President for the forthcoming 14th General Convention of the party.

Speaking at a program organized by Kathmandu-17 Ward Committee, NC leader Singh also announced that he would be offering his candidacy for the post of party President.

He said that he has decided to work as the ‘number one man’ of the party to bring a substantive change.

“The party is in a dilemma as the leaders did not work despite getting opportunity,” Singh said, adding, “ If not taken it ahead seriously, NC will face the same fate as Praja Parishad these days.”

He said that he wanted to work as the party’s ‘number one man’ to advance the party ahead in an institutional manner.

Leader Singh expressed his commitment to move the party forward in a lawful manner after taking the leadership and also expressed his outrage against the incumbent leadership saying it was conspiring to postpone the date of the 14th general convention again.
