Leader Jhankri blames writ against ordinance relating to political parties for cabinet expansion delay

BIRATNAGAR: CPN-Unified Socialist Secretary Ram Kumari Jhankri has blamed the three writs against the ordinance on political parties responsible for the delay in the expansion of the Council of Ministers.

Speaking to reporters in Biratnagar on Saturday, Jhankri said that the cabinet expansion would be complete soon after the SC revoke of the writs filed against the ordinance on political parties.

“After a long time, the process of revoking the writ against the ordinance on political parties has been moved forward; however, the issue is still under consideration,” she said, adding, “Only after the issue is resolved the cabinet will be expanded.”

Lawmaker Jhankri said that Supreme Court’s refusal to issue interim order in the writ petition filed against her party has paved their way for joining the government.

Meanwhile, she informed that the party’s central committee meeting has completed the formation of the working committees and is preparing to finalize the party’s statute by holding a national conference soon.

Jhankri also alleged CPN-UML chairman KP Oli’s verbal assault against her party leaders as an indication of defunct mentality.
