Group leaders to present their report in UML’s CC meeting

No leaders advocating 10 points agreement in party chosen for representation



KATHMANDU: The panel-wise discussion on various issues has concluded in the ongoing Central Committee meeting of the main opposition party CPN-UML.

According to UML sources, 10 panels formed to discuss on various reports relating to political, organizational and statute draft among many others have concluded the discussion in the panel and are preparing to present it to the CC meeting again.

Although all 10 panels have chosen their leaders to present the group’s conclusion at the CC meeting, interestingly, no leaders formerly seen close to Madhav Kumar Nepal have been chosen to lead the groups.

Hikmat Karki from Province 1, Ram Chandra Mandal from Province 2, Ananda Pokhrel from Bagmati, Jagat Bishwakarma from Gandaki, Dal Bahadur Rana from Lumbini, Yamlal Kandel from Karnali, Karna Thapa from Far West, Madhav Dhungel from Kathmandu valley unit and Khim Lal Bhattarai from people’s organizations and departments have been selected to announce the outcome of the discussion.

The documents and reports deliberated now would be presented in the party’s legislative general convention scheduled from October 1-3 this year.

Earlier, UML Chairman KP Oli presented political report in the meeting while organization report was tabled by party general-secretary Ishwor Pokharel.

Likewise, Deputy general-secretary Bishu Prasad Poudel had presented report on the draft of the party’s statute.
