UML lawmakers to hold discussion with erstwhile task force members

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML lawmakers are scheduled to hold discussions with the leaders of the 10-member task force to maintain the internal unity of the CPN-UML on Sunday.

According to Yagya Raj Sunuwar, party lawmakers have been endeavoring to prevent the UML from splitting and maintain strong unity in the party.

The lawmakers will hold talks with the members of the task force on the 10-point agreement.

They will also ask the task force and senior leaders of the UML party to stick to the 10-point agreement.

Since party Chairman KP Oli has already approved the 10-point agreement, the lawmakers will pile pressure on the party leadership, including Chairman Oli and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal to abide by the agreement and keep the party unity intact.

The disbanded task force includes UML leaders Bhim Rawal, Ghanshyam Bhusal, Surendra Pandey, Gokarna Bista, and Raghuji Pant from the Madhav Nepal faction while Subash Nemwang, Bishnu Poudel, Pradip Gyawali, Shankar Pokhrel, and Bishnu Rimal represent the Oli faction.
