Three NC leaders agree on forming common view on party’s general convention



KATHMANDU: Three influential leaders of Nepali Congress (NC) Bimalendra Nidhi, Shashank Koirala and Prakash Man Singh have asserted to agree on a common party presidential candidate in the upcoming 14th general convention of the party.

Nidhi, Koirala and Singh have expedited talks to forge consensus on the presidential candidate among the three leaders.

After today’s talks held at Koirala’s residence in Maharajgunj, the three leaders said they had a serious discussion on current political issues as well as the upcoming general convention.

The three leaders have also alleged party President Sher Bahadur Deuba for failing to take the party forward on the basis of consensus.

They have also decided to meet again in a couple of days at Singh’s residence.

“We will also talk to party President Sher Bahadur Deuba and senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel on the issue of a consensus candidate,” Nidhi said.

The three leaders have currently expedited discussions to finalize the candidacy for the party President in the party’s 14th General Convention besides strengthening the party.

The three leaders had on Monday had a meeting at Nidhi’s residence in Baneswor.
