Tipper-hit claims cyclist in Gokaneshwor



KATHMANDU: A cyclist has died after being hit by a tipper at Gokaneshwor in the capital on Friday morning.

The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Khurbu Chhiring Bhote of Shankhuwasabha, currently staying at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-6.

Khurbu was struck by a tipper, Ba 4 Kha 8229 at Gokaneshwor municipality-9, Jagadol at 6 am today, informed Police Inspector Suraj Khadka of Metropolitan Police Circle, Bouddha.

Critically injured Khurbu who was rushed to Nepal Medical College breathed his last in the course of treatment.

Police have arrested 32-year-old Pradeep BK of Ramechhap, the driver of the tripper, and is investigating the case.
