Urgent COVID supplies from US arriving this week



KATHMANDU: United States is continuing its assistance to Nepal to fight the coronavirus pandemic and as part of its support, USAID is airlifting urgent COVID-19 supplies from US to send to Nepal this week.

US Ambassador Rand Berry took to Twitter Tuesday to notify that USAID was airlifting COVID supplies this week. The tweet also contains a video where USAID Nepal Director Sepideh Keyvanshad speaking about the deepening US-Nepal ties and continued assistance from US to Nepal amid the coronavirus situation around the world.

 

Meanwhile, the foreign aid provided by the US to Nepal has been increased and has exceeded US $50 million. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced on Twitter last Friday that foreign aid had been increased.
