Ambassador Khatiwada delivers virtual lecture on US-Nepal relations



KATHMANDU: Ambassador of Nepal to the United States Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada has delivered a virtual lecture to a group of students at the United States Army War College on US-Nepal Relations and South Asia on Tuesday.

During the address, Ambassador Khatiwada highlighted the significance of the US-Nepal relations at bilateral level and the US support and cooperation to Nepal since the establishment of diplomatic relations. The participants were a mix of US and international students.

In an interactive session, he candidly responded to the queries and concerns raised by the participants, mainly on issues related to climate change; food, energy and water security; impact of COVID -19 pandemic in tourism sector and economy of Nepal; and security dimensions of South Asia.

The event was coordinated by Dr Patrick Bratton, Professor of National Security and Strategy, Department of National Security and Strategy at the United States Army War College.
