UML leader Rawal deletes controversial tweet following criticism



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Bhim Rawal, who has been expelled from the party by the establishment, has deleted his controversial tweet.

Leader in his tweet had said the news is being aired that many people, mostly Indians, gathering up in Birgunj for citizenship cards after the government issued a citizenship ordinance.

“The news is being aired that a large number of people, mostly Indians, are flocking to Birgunj. Prime Minister KP Oli is distributing citizenship cards like chocolates to foreigners by locking the Nepali people inside their houses during the prohibitory order. Let’s unite all the patriotic Nepali people to save the nation,” Rawal had tweeted on Monday evening.

Rawal deleted the twee following criticisms from all quarters.

Deleting the tweet, Rawal said, it not wrong to mention about the news being aired that the people are gathering up in Birgunj to receive citizenships. He further said the government must clarify the truth.
