KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Centre) has announced to establish oxygen plants near the government and community hospitals in all seven provinces across the country.
The Maoist Centre decided to set up oxygen plants to ensure oxygen supply to the patients suffering from COVID-19.
A Standing Committee meeting of the party held on May 19 and 20 approved its policy, programs, and structures to help ease oxygen supply in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.
The party’s policy and programs were also discussed at the central committee meeting for the oxygen plants’ development.
Likewise, a special initiative would be made to solicit national and international support for the same. Similarly, alternatives and initiatives would be made to seek potentials for the production of PPE in the country itself.
Releasing the party Standing Committee meeting, Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said that the party would make all best possible efforts to safeguard the lives of citizens.
The Maoist Centre has also concluded that the government has completely failed to control the spread of the virus infection and safeguard the fundamental health rights of the citizens in the wake of the second wave of the COVID-19.
Similarly, the Maoist Centre has decided to set up COVID-19 Fund under the party’s leadership. For this, the people’s representatives elected from the Maoist Centre and the party cadres getting political appointments have been asked to contribute to the Fund from their respective posts and position.
The party has also asked the government to strictly manage the international border points and set up minimum physical infrastructures including health desks, holding centers, and others in the bordering areas.
The Maoist party has also started to make diplomatic efforts to receive anti-COVID-19 vaccines from the international community to meet the domestic need for the vaccine.
The party has taken exception to the dillydallying and commission mongering in regard to anti-COVID-19 vaccines on the side of the government and has decided to pile pressure on the government for the timely management of the vaccines.
