Kathmandu Valley records 1,498 fresh COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 1,498 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 1,132 persons in Kathmandu, 270 in Lalitpur, and 96 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, as of Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Nepal recorded a total of 3,122 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 3,032 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 90 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

Meanwhile, 450 persons have returned home after complete health recovery today.

Similarly, the ministry shared that 28 more fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 3,164.
