Karnali Assembly Secretariat registers letter seeking dismissal of ‘floor-crossing’ UML lawmakers



KATHMANDU: The provincial parliamentary party (PP) CPN-UML has registered a letter, seeking the dismissal of four ‘floor-crossing’ provincial lawmakers of the party from the Karnali Province Assembly (PA), with the PA Secretariat in Birendranagar, Surkhet, Sunday.

Karnali Province UML PP leader Yamlal Kandel informed that four UML leaders close to Madhav Kumar Nepal faction of the party were sacked from their PA seats following their ‘floor-crossing’ role in support of the CPN (Maoist Center) government led by Chief Minister Mahendra Shahi.

The four PA members from the UML to be removed from the Karnali PA are Prakash Jwala, Kurmraj Shahi, Ammar Bahadur Shahi and Nandsingh Buda.

A meeting of UML 10th general convention organizing committee held on April 23 decided to initiate process to strip the PA members of their seat and party general membership.
