Two workers go missing after falling into Trishuli



KATHMANDU: Two workers who were working at an under-construction bridge connecting to Devghat in Chitwan district have gone missing after they fell into the Trishuli River.

Other three workers have been rescued. The workers had fallen into the river while they were working at the under-construction bridge based at Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1, Thimura.

According to SP Om Prasad Adhikari of Chitwan district, they fell into the river at 9 am today while they were working at the bridge construction.

The rescued are being taken to Bharatpur for treatment and a search operation is underway for the missing ones, said Adhikari.

As many as 18 workers were working at the under-construction bridge.
